Plant Rate Codes for Cost and Sell Rates

A Plant Item may have multiple rates attached to it for the cost of usage of the Plant on a Job (being the cost of the transaction when the Plant is issued to the job), and for the selling rate where the plant usage is billed to an external party.

Plant Rate Codes are established globally for application to any Plant Item. A plant Item may have multiple Rate Codes attached. E.g. the plant may be costed on an hourly rate or a day rate in different circumstances.

A Plant Rate Code has Rate Code (10 characters), Unit (5 characters) and Description (50 characters)

A Plant Rate Code is then attached to a Plant Item, and the specific Cost and Sell Rates are entered for that Plant Item. This can be maintained in the Plant Item Rates Maintenance screen, or on the Plant Costs tab in Plant Item Maintenance
