This module looks at the Plant features within Workbench.
OVERVIEW
The Plant module provides a wide range of functionality in the management of Plant within the company.
Primary functions are:
- Management of Plant master file data
- Control of maintenance costs
- Plant Issues to jobs with associated cost and revenue transactions at multiple rates, including rates defined under Price Codes
- Plant Issue options through Bulk Plant Assignments and timesheet entry
- Management of plant usage, through multiple meters and meter reading entry
- Plant servicing through Plant Policies and Plant Service Orders
- Procurement of materials required for plant servicing
- Integration to the General Ledger via related journals
- Management of Road User Charges
PLANT GENERAL LEDGER POSTINGS
Plant Issue transactions create General Ledger journal transactions for export to the financial software via Batches with Batch Type = Plant.
Batches are exported to the financials via Batch Control
