Parent Policies Usage
Parent Policies Usage
A typical service plan for a vehicle may involve a service at 5,000 Kms, one at 20,000 Kms and one at 50,000 Kms, with each service having different requirements and therefore different Policies. On completion of the PSO for the 5,000 km service, the next The use of Parent Policies allows the first PSO in the sequence to use the 5,000 km Policy (e.g. NV5000). Completion of that PSO will create the next PSO, but using the 20,000 Kms Policy (NV20000), and so on to the 50,000 km Policy
To achieve this (referring to the above screenshot):
- The first Policy in the sequence (NV5000) will have:
- 'Recurring PSO's' set to 'From Start' or 'From Completion'
- 'Parent Policy Code' will be blank
- The second Policy in the sequence (NV20000) will have:
- 'Recurring PSO's' set to 'From Start' or 'From Completion'
- 'Parent Policy Code' will be the first Policy in the sequence
