People & Employees
The information featured in this section relates to People / Employees within the Timesheet Module. For more detailed information regarding People / Employees refer to "People Maintenance" within the Workbench Setup Guide.
ENTER PEOPLE MAINTENANCE:
Name
Enter Surname and First Name. The name is held in these different formats to facilitate reporting and mail merging.
The Job Title; Title; Salutation & Person Refrerence are for notational purposes only.
Employee
Tick to indicate an Employee and to display the Employee Details tab. A user in Workbench must be an Employee and have a Login.
Has Login
Select this option to display and maintain Security tab. Refer Setup Manual.
Inactive
Tick to suppress the use of this record.
Attach / View File
This allows the user to attach any file to the Person record.
Now that the People record has been created you can enter data into each of the related tabs.
PERSON DETAILS
Company
Used to assign the person to a Company.
Company Address
Used to assign an address from the selected company to the person record.
Personal Address
Another address field for that person record.
Email Address
The E-mail address for the person. This is an important field to complete where you are wanting to email reports from Workbench.
Attach File
Any file/s can be attached to the person record.
EMPLOYEE DETAILS
Employee Number/Payroll
Optional details if required by Payroll interface.
Activity Group
Used to filter Activity Codes on Personal Timesheet Entry.
To facilitate use of the Personal Timesheet individual employees can be linked to a default Activity Group which will display only those Activities they use. Depending on the security setup, the employee may have the opportunity to override this and view all Activity Codes. This option is purely to aid Activity Code selection and does not override the control exercised by the Job Activity Group.
Timesheet Group
Select the required code if Timesheet Groups are used for Timesheet Approval rather than Profit Centres.
Start/Finish Date
Used for reporting purposes.
Hours
Used in Productivity Reporting.
Default Activity/Job
Specify a Job and Activity that will default during Timesheet entry.
