Translating a Screen
To enter translations you must have the Admin Function 'Translator' granted.
- To translate a screen, first open the screen you wish to translate.
- Right click on the header part of the screen.
- Ensure the session language is set to the language you are translating from, (See the section 'Selecting a language for this session' for more information on the session language.)
- Select 'Translate Form', the Translation Screen will open. Displayed at the top is the 'Current Language', which is the session language, or the language you are translating from, and the 'Translate to Language', which is the language currently selected for translations to be entered for.
- Change the 'Translate to Language' to the language you wish to enter translations for.
- Select the caption you wish to translate and enter the Translation Text. You will notice that the control on the target form will highlight in red, and all of the labels have a light border to indicate the length of the caption they can display.

You can immediately see the result of your translation edits by optionally clicking on the 'Refresh Target Form' button at the top of the Translation Screen.
The colour square next to the Translation Text indicates if the control is wide enough to display all of the translation text you entered. Green means it is likely to display the whole text, Yellow means the text may be too long, and Red means it is almost certainly too long to be displayed.
