The details of all new jobs can be automatically populated by templates that have been predetermined.
Select the 'New' button to create a new Job Template.
If you want to maintain an existing template make your selection from the Select Code dropdown.

Code
A code for later selection of this template
Description
Describes the general content of this template, to allow easy recognition of the template when it is used in job creation
Job Level
Job Level of the job to be created by this template. Header would be level 1. You can have up to 6 levels.
Parent Template
Used for Level 2 - 6 templates.
Job Prefix
Job numbers are determined by the ranges set up in these templates. This job prefix will always lead the Job Code range. This prefix is alphanumeric
Zeros to Append
This will end the job number with zeros. If required this will mean that a Parent job will always end with zero while any SubJobs can be increments of that Parent if the SubJob digits increment to Parent in the default selection.

Print Job Sheet
Tick if you want a default Job Sheet and specify the Job Sheet report format to be used.
Edit/View Job Defaults
Click this button to go to the Job Defaults Template.
The SubJob Template has some different parameters. You cannot use Alpha with the Append or Increment.

When creating jobs at a level greater than level 1 you can choose how to generate the SubJob code.
Append to Parent - This adds the SubJob digits to the Header Job Number
Increment Parent - This works in conjunction with the Header Template where you have appended zeros. The Header becomes 0 with the SubJobs 1-9.
Add Suffix to Parent - This adds the suffix to the Parent Job Code to create a new reference for the SubJob.

Edit/View Template Defaults

All of the possible defaults are discussed in the Setup Guide.
Default From
You have the choice whether the population of these fields on a new job will come from this 'Template' or the 'Parent' Template or in some cases the 'Client'.
User Change
A tick in this box allows the user to edit these fields when a new job is being created.
Job Text - Allows you to enter default text to be populated to the job upon creation.

The Template can also be used to populate Job Groups, Job Work Centres and Docket Costing Schedules.
