You will need to run this package for every separate Workbench database that you require (e.g. Live and Test).

Navigate back to the Workbench\Setup\server setup directory, and Unzip the file Workbench721_Patch.zip into its own directory. This file carries the latest patch for this version of Workbench.

Note that the file name may differ from this but should be Workbenchxxx_Patch.zip or similar

 


Installing Scripts

  • Open the directory created above. The directory should contain the following files
  • Double click the file called wbcheckUpgradeScriptsxxx.sql
  • This will open a SQL query window. Make sure you login to the correct SQL server

 

In the menu bar navigate to one of the databases you have created above, in this case Workbench

 

 

  • Click the execute button. The display window will show something similar to below
  • If every Script status is Ok You may skip this section
  • If the Patch is 'Out of Date' or 'Missing':
  • Press CTRL-O and select the patch script wbuXXX_X.sql
  • Make sure that the database selected is correct




  • Press execute.
  • If the messages displayed are all black then the script was installed successfully.
  • If not please contact Workbench International before continuing.
  • Click on the second tab and click "Execute" to rerun this check and confirm the install has been correctly installed. You should see a screen similar to the one below

 

Repeat these steps for each Workbench database e.g. WorkbenchLive and WorkbenchTest



Installing Reports

  • Go back to the Workbench\Setup\Server Setup directory and uncompress the file Workbench721_ReportsAll.zip in to a new directory under the same location.
  • Open this directory and copy all the files in it. Navigate to the network Workbench\Reports directory. Paste all the files into this location.
  • Go back to the Workbench\Setup\Server Setup directory and uncompress the file Workbench721_SamplePDFsAll.zip in to a new directory under the same location.
  • Open this directory and copy all the files located in it. Navigate to the network Workbench\Reports\Samples directory. Paste all the files into this directory.
