Report Scheduler
The My Management process involves the display of reports run at some predetermined frequency. The running of the reports is handled by the Workbench Report Scheduler.
The setup of Report Scheduler is therefore a pre-requisite to the use of My management. This setup is described in the separate Report Scheduler Manual.
My Management Reports
The reports selectable in My Management are those set up in Report Maintenance with a Report Type of My Management.
Desktop Environment
My Management makes extensive use of the display of .pdf files within panels on the screen. The standard software components do not provide appropriate control over the quality of this display, nor the speed of refreshing of that display. We have therefore included a separate third party .ocx control which must be loaded onto workstations or Citrix / terminal Servers for users who wish to run the My Management functionality.
Files provided to be run are:
A technical person with appropriate rights should run the Install.bat file (modified in terms of folder locations) to register the required .ocx and .dll's
Note: Workstations wishing to run My Management MUST have these installed. Without them My Management will not load.
Control Parameter Settings
A folder structure is required on a fileserver for storing all the files created by My Management for display on the individual My Management views.
Under the setup of the Report Scheduler module (a pre-requisite to running My Management) the Control Parameter (Type Report Schedule), 'Temp Report File Directory'. will have been set up. This is the root level folder for Report Scheduling Reports and My Management Reports.
Note that this is a folder where large numbers of document files will be stored, so it must be appropriate as a file store area and users must have network rights to it.
My Management will use a folder off this called 'MyManagement', beneath which Workbench then automatically creates a folder structure to store its files to be displayed.
A new folder called 'MyManagement' is required at the end of the folder in the 'Temp Report Directory' entered through Control Parameters above. This should be entered manually through Windows Explorer. The further sub directories Panel and People will be automatically created by MyManagement.
NOTE: You will have to create subfolders for each employee, under People and Panel, manually. Eg. I:\Reports\MyManagement\People\1234. The folder 1234 has to be created manually in Explorer.
