Job Work Centres provide grouping of Activities for the Forecast and Cash Flow. The default display for the forecast is by Work Center.
The Cash Flow only operates at Job Work Center level. The Job Work Centres provide the basis for the Cash Flow spread.

You can access Job Work Centres from 3 different places.

  1. as a menu Item
  2. from View Client Contract Budget Detail
  3. from CashFlow tab within Contracts

There is an Admin Function "Job Work Centre Read Only", which if granted means that "Maintain Job Work Centres" is Read Only. If not granted "Maintain Job Work Centres" is fully functional. This Admin Function relates to the form however it is accessed.

To utilise Job Work Centres go to "Job Costing Control Parameters" and select Yes to "Use Job Work Centres". Note that "No Change to Work Centres" must be set to No.

NEW ADMIN FUNCTIONS PROVIDED TO CONTROL BUTTONS ON THE FORECAST REVIEW SCREEN:

Complete Forecast
Button available if Admin Function granted, otherwise greyed out

Uncomplete Forecast
When a forecast is Complete, this button's text changes to Uncomplete. Button available in this mode if Admin Function granted, otherwise greyed out

Approve Forecast
Button available if Admin Function granted, otherwise greyed out

Unapprove Forecast
When a forecast is Approved, this button to change text to Unapprove. Button available in this mode if Admin Function granted, otherwise greyed out

No Access to Refresh
If granted the Refresh button on the Forecast screen will be greyed out. If not granted then the Refresh button is available

NEW ADMIN FUNCTIONS AVAILABLE TO CONTROL AVAILABILITY OF THE CASH FLOW:

Edit Contract Cash Flow
If granted all the functionality of the Cash Flow is available. If not granted all the buttons are greyed out. It becomes Read Only.

Approve Cash Flow
Approve Cash Flow Button is available if Admin Function granted, otherwise greyed out

Unapprove Cash Flow
When a Cash Flow is Approved, this button to change text to Unapprove. Button available in this mode if Admin Function granted, otherwise greyed out.

OTHER FUNCTIONALITY:

Year / Period on Forecasting.
A column for Forecast has been added to the Period End form. This will need to be ticked before the 'All' tickbox is checked. Set the default Year/Period for the forecast to be the earliest Year/Period which has the 'Forecast' checkbox unticked. (This means processing may have been completed but you still want to Forecast in that period)

Allow Refresh of any past or future period (subject to the No Access to Refresh Admin Function rules and whether the forecast has been approved)

  • Control of 'New Claim' button on the Contract Claims screen*
    New Admin Function 'No Create Contract Claim'
    If granted, then the user cannot create a new Claim as the button 'New Claim' will be greyed out

Note: Refresh will always Uncomplete the Forecast.
Complete allows the Account Manager to see the SubJobs that Job Managers have completed through Forecast Management but it does not lock anything. Refresh (if you have access to it) will always uncomplete the Forecast and then refresh. The Forecast needs to be Approved for the refresh to be invalid.
