This module looks at Internal Sales within Workbench.

 

OVERVIEW

There are a number of situations in a business environment where selling of one job to another job is appropriate. Workbench covers this scenario through Internal Selling.

The scenario covers the situation where both Jobs are in the same Workbench Database. It can be different FinCo's, Profit Centres or Locations but must be the same Database.

Situations where this may be necessary.

  • Inter-departmental transactions where a Job is raised in one Locations/Profit Centre and sold to another area.
  • We may want a summarised 'Cost' on a Job but this is made up of a range of inputs. We can set up a Job to capture all the inputs and then internally sell to the other Job.

The internal sale could include a profit element or be at cost.
