Debtor Management
This module looks at the use of Debtor Management within Workbench.
OVERVIEW:
Workbench Debt Management is a natural extension of "Workbench Job Invoicing". It provides On-screen analysis of debts outstanding along with selection criteria that allows for analysis by Job Manager, Job type etc.
Workbench Debt Management accommodates an Open Item Debtors ledger where credits and receipts are applied to invoices not a balance brought forward.
There is provision for a predefined status on an invoice and extensive notes for the ongoing management of debt collection.
There are a number of reports that aid collection and accountability.
The debt is initially managed by the due dates defaulting at time of Job Invoice entry. There is then provision for Contacts, Promises and notes. The promises are recorded and are deducted from the outstanding balance on some of the screen shots and reports.
Debt Management notes are kept in the Notes table.
Future Invoices
- Selection Date: defaults to Current Period. This determines the aging profile.
- Rcpts/Crdts to Date: The default is to include all receipts processed up to Today's Date. It is possible to change this date to exclude receipts or credits to the date specified or to include future transactions to a future date specified.
- Invoice Period: The Invoice Period defaults to the Current Period which will exclude Futures unless you amend to a Period of your choice.
Future Invoices will be shown as a Memorandum entry at the bottom of the Client Summary and be excluded from Current and the Total.
The Invoice Period selection will not apply in restricting the Future Invoices included in the Memorandum.
The Selection Date is determining what is "Current".
