The screen for this function can be divided into two areas -
Job Filtering and Action List.

When attempting to display existing Actions for a selected Job, the Job Filter area is used to determine for which Jobs, actions will be displayed in the Action List section. The Action List section is used to display the results of the search initiated by the Filter button. With one or more entries in the List area, a particular action can be selected for review or alteration by "double-clicking" a selected action; this will cause the Maintain Actions "form" to load.
When creating a new action record by "pressing" the Add Record button, the Maintain Actions form will be displayed.

FILTER

Job
If the Edit/View Actions by Job function is accessed from the Job Management screen, the Job Number details will be carried through.
If this function is activated directly from a Menu, this field is used to access an existing Job by typing in the Job Number or through F4 search.

Originator
If the default Originator is not correct, an alternative name can be selected from the list available. This field may be left blank if it is not a valid or essential search criteria.

Action By
This is another filter field which will limit the Actions displayed in the list, and is used to specify the name of the person on whom Actions have been created. An entry in this field will cause the Filter to return Actions for this person only. The field may be left blank if it is not a valid or critical search criteria. However, if data is required, enter a valid reference or select a name from the list.

A word or phrase can be used to search for an Action through the description. It has to exactly the same as the full description or you can use an * at the start and end as a 'wildcard'. E.g. work would return the action 'Request for work to do'
