Cashflow is created from the Forecast. The 'To Complete' figure (Cost to Complete) is the total of:

  • Outstanding Commitments (PO's & WO's);
  • Additional Risk;
  • Uncommitted Work (which may include the Balance of Budget)

'Variance' column displays the 'To Complete' column less any amount that has already been spread.

Once the Cashflow has been created the button 'Create Cashflow' becomes 'Refresh Cost to Complete'. When you come into a Cashflow which has already been created and saved the button reads 'Refresh Cost to Complete' and the "To Complete" column is automatically updated from any Forecast changes.

Any spread amounts from the previous period's Cashflow will be utilised in the initial spread of this created Cashflow. Any changes to the Forecast in the new period will be reflected in the variance column as it is only the old value that is spread in the new period Cashflow.

The initial spread on Create Cashflow spreads as per last month actual figure initially putting current month spread back into the Variance. Any changes to the Costs to Complete will also be in the Variance column waiting for the new Period Spread.

Any changes to the Forecast or if you hit 'Refresh Cost to Complete' the spread that was in 'Prior' is reallocated back to the variance for further Cashflow Spread

Once created the 'Create Cashflow' button becomes 'Refresh Cost to Complete. If you go out of the Cashflow and come back in the Cost to Complete is automatically refreshed from the Forecast. If the Logged in User is in the Cashflow and someone else is working the Forecast and changes a budget or adjustment figure the Cashflow is not automatically updated. To ensure you have the latest copy of the Cost to Complete you must utilise the button 'Refresh Cost to Complete' or go out of the Cashflow and come back in again. The Cashflow can only be edited by one person. A warning is given to this effect. It is not Multi User but the Forecast is Multi User.

This Cash Flow is Read Only for any spread adjustments until you press 'Edit Cashflow'. Whenever you come into a Cashflow it is always Read Only so that a conscious effort must be made to change the Cashflow.

An Admin Function 'Edit Contract Cash Flow' controls whether the logged in user can edit the Cashflow. If not granted the user can view only.
