If you do not have a version of Microsoft access on all machines you will need to download the file Access_Runtime_2003.zip and store it in the same location as above.
This is used to create a free 'runtime' version of Microsoft Access on workstations that do not have a full Microsoft Access version

Workbench Server Files

Workbench server files are available from the Workbench SharePoint Resources Site. This online resource requires login to be able to access the files.

Image Added

The Resources site is accessible to Workbench partners only.

Non-partner clients should contact their Workbench Consultant for the required files. Otherwise a copy of the installation files will be left in the "Workbench Application Share" under the "Releases" sub-folder on the Workbench server during installation by a Workbench Technical Consultant.

The installation files are organised by product, then by version. It is recommended to copy all the version release files onto the Workbench server so other technical users can easily find the files in the Workbench Application Share Releases folder.

Workbench Product Download - PowerShell Module

The Workbench PowerShell module, WorkbenchToolbelt, has a cmdlet for easily viewing the latest released versions of Workbench and WebWorkbench, and cmdlet for downloading the releases to the current system.

An example of querying the download server for the latest version using the Workbench-GetProductReleaseVersion cmdlet:

To download a release package, use the Workbench-DownloadProductRelease cmdlet. The cmdlet will download the specified version to the desired directory and unzip the archive.

The Require server verification (https:) check box needs to be cleared in order to add non-HTTPS addresses to the list.

Workbench Client Installers

Workbench client systems require both Microsoft Access (2010) and the Workbench client. Currently, there is a separate installer for each component.

A specially packaged Microsoft Access 2010 runtime installer and Workbench client installer can be downloaded from http://downloads.workbench-cloud.net.

Alternatively, links to the individual installers:

  • Workbench client installer

The MS Access 2010 Runtime installer includes the Access Runtime 2010 Service Pack 2 and Windows update KB2881029, both required for the latest version of the Workbench client to run properly.

The installer only requires the "setup.exe" executable to be run and should complete without needing any user interaction. When complete, the installation dialogue will disappear. If there were any issues with the installation an error message will popup and halt the installer. Otherwise, if no errors occur, it is possible to check Access was installed properly by viewing the list of installed programs in Windows "Control Panel", "Program and Features":
