Comment: Migrated to Confluence 4.0

This addition to the Quotes module allows the importation of a Schedule (or you can manually enter the schedule) with Descriptions, Units, Quantities and Sell rates so that you can build up a cost per scheduled line.

The costing is to prove the Sell Rate that you have agreed on, or to provide an accurate cost rate for you to price (sell) the schedule, and to provide the cost budget on quote acceptance.

Once agreed this priced Schedule can then be imported into the "Contract Schedule" for the basis of the Claim going forward.

To put in context:
We have a Prospective Client that requires us to price a schedule. The schedule has been given to us in an Excel spreadsheet. Included will be the Qty to price. Eg 1000 M3 or LS etc

We want to be able to:

  • Import this schedule into Workbench Quotes.
  • Take each of the schedule lines and apply our costing to the schedule line. This will include Labour, Materials, Plant etc. This will give us a price per 'each' for all the schedule lines and a price per requested Quantity
  • Report back to the prospective Client the quote for their schedule.

Once the quote is accepted, We want to be able to:

  • Quote becomes the Budget for Cost and Revenue.
  • Quote becomes the Schedule in Workbench to generate the claims.
  • Specific costings for materials in the schedule lines could become Procurement and PO's.
  • The new Schedule tab in Workbench Quotes and the associated Imports and Reports allows us to do this.
