NOTE: This should be a function performed by a Super User only. Hiding the wrong fields will cause confusion and may cause the software to work incorrectly
There is a large amount of functionality in Workbench, but it is not all of it is used by all usersevery user.
We have provided the option of hiding appropriate labels and fields on appropriate screens. This allows the user to simplify the look and feel of screens.
This is achieved through entries in the table "HiddenControls", containing the Form Name and Label Name.
This data then appears in the screen "Hidden Controls Maintenance".
For a selected Form Name, the fields which can be hidden are displayed, and can be ticked as 'Hide'. In the simple example below, the Job Invoice Edit View screen allows the 'Client Approval Status' label and field to be hi
NOTE:
Super Users may manually add entries to this HiddenControls table by entry directly in the tables; there is intentionally no screen to facilitate this.
There needs to be some discretion in the use of this, as obviously fields that are required data should not be hidden. This is for the Super User to sensibly control.
This hiding option is system wide, not specific to a user(s)
